Krka National Park presents its natural and cultural heritage at European fairs

Again this year, Krka National Park is participating at tourism fairs in order to present its new projects and to acquaint visitors with the natural beauty and cultural and historical heritage of the park.

The Public Institute of Krka National Park presented its products and services at the Vakantiebeurs Fair in Utrecht, Netherlands (14–19 January 2014), the most visited camping and active vacation tourism fair that brings together more than 1500 exhibitors from around the world. Krka National Park was also presented at the FITUR 2014 Fair in Madrid, Spain (22–26 January 2014), one of the world's leading travel fairs, with some 10,000 exhibitors from more than 165 countries.

The exhibition stand of Krka National Park attracted particular attention with its unusual tree, with leaves on which visitors could leave their names. During the year, this tree will be on display at the premises of the Public Institute of Krka National Park in Skradin, and visitors who find their names on the tree will be rewarded with free entrance tickets to Krka National Park.

Together with the hotel company Solaris and with Croatian Forests, Krka National Park also took part in the Ferien-Messe Fair in Vienna (16–19 January 2014) and Messe München International Fair in Munich (19–22 February 2014). The joint project “Plant a Tree” was presented, aimed at promoting Šibenik-Knin County as a sustainable development destination. The project concerns the reforestation of fire-affected areas near Krka National Park, with a total of 5000 trees, which will be planted from 24–26 October 2014.
