Join us at Krka National Park for International Day of the Family

 

Take a walk with the children to the Emperor's Viewpoint at Skradinski buk, get to know Krka and the animal world of the Park through children's workshops

Krka National Park, as one of Croatia's youngest national parks, is a great friend to children and their families. The International Day of the Family, celebrated on 15 May, stresses the importance of family life and the family as the fundamental unit of society. This day is intended to encourage local authorities and organisms to promote the family, supporting respect for and the improvement of family life, and raising its quality. Each year, the UN General Secretary General selects a theme for this day, and this year’s theme is Families and New Technologies.

Krka National Park is part of its community, closely working with and developing with it. The community’s most vital part is certainly the children and their families. As a place of rest, recreation and education, we aim to serve both parents and children, ensuring this is a place where they can spend quality time together. On Saturday, 15 May 2021 from 12:30 to 2:30 pm, join us at the Emperor’s Viewpoint near the ethno-village and play a game of Discover Krka, put together the large ground puzzle, play a game of Catch the Mosquito or join us in colouring the drawings of frogs, dragonflies and bats.

At the end of last year, the Public Institute of Krka National Park became a proud partner of the e-Child card, a project by the Central State Office for Demographics and Youth. In order to secure support and solidarity by creating a stimulating environment, and by introducing benefits that strengthen parents in raising their children, the Public Institute of Krka National Park has approved a 20% discount for all individual ticket prices for adults and children to 18 years for all terrestrial localities in the park. Entrance is always free of charge for children under 7 years.

The e-Child card – Mudrica smart phone application (iOS and Android) is intended for parents and children (for families with minor children). In cooperation with the public and private sector, this card provides a wide range of benefits and discounts for products and services with partner institutions.

On the occasion of the International Day of the Family, a discount on offers in Krka NP buffet at Lozovac entrance until the end of May, and the selected gastronomic content will be conveniently packaged for prevention measures.
