Celebrating spring at Krka National Park

Choose to walk and pay just HRK 80 for entrance tickets to Krka National Park in May

As part of the promotional May campaign “Go and walk”, visitors deciding to enter Krka National Park on foot will receive a 20% discount on entrance tickets. The campaign is open to all individual visitors and will be in effect from 1 to 31 May, including International Labour Day on 1 May.

If you decide to come to Skradinski Buk on foot along one of the walking trails leading here from Lozovac or from the Skradin Bridge, you will be able to purchase an entrance ticket at the promotional price of just HRK 80. This ticket is valid for the whole day and at all other terrestrial localities in the park. Entrance is free of charge for children up to 7 years, and just HRK 64 for children between 7 and 18 years when accompanied by a parent or guardian.

If you decide just to visit the locality Roški Slap, the entrance ticket is just HRK 40 for adults and HRK 32 for children from 7 to 18 years. With this promotional May campaign, entrance for the Krka Monastery and Burnum archaeological site are just HRK 32 for adults and HRK 24 for children from 7 to 18 years.

All other services, and entrance tickets for visitors entering the park by boat or bus will be charged in accordance with the valid price list.

“With the promotional campaign 'Go and walk', the Public Institute of Krka National Park wants to encourage an active visit to the park and use of the educational walking trails. By reducing the use of transport in the park - buses and boats – we are directly contributing to reducing carbon dioxide emissions,” said Nella Slavica, director of the Public Institute of Krka National Park. She added, “Krka National Park is proud to bear the label ‘Safe Stay in Croatia’, and during these challenging times, we stress the importance of spending time outdoors, and using walking trails and bicycling routes in order to increase visitor security in the park”.

In addition to abiding by the rules of conduct in protected areas, the proper use of protective face masks and maintaining social distance is mandatory in all closed areas in the national park visitor system and on all modes of transport – boats and buses – in accordance with the valid recommendations, and visitor numbers are reduced. As of 1 April, the use of face masks is also required in outdoor areas with a higher concentration of people.

Over its area of 109 km2, Krka National Park offers a true experience of the millennia of coexistence of humans and nature, inviting visitors to discover the seven lavish waterfalls, the same number of medieval fortresses and monasteries, a historical hydropower plant, ethnographic heritage, archaeological sites and to learn about the numerous endemic plant and animal species. The park’s 22 educational walking trails cover a length of 47 km, and together with the viewpoints along the way offer a true experience of nature and its enchanting landscapes. Those looking for an active outdoor experience can also enjoy the 470 km of cycling trails through Krka National Park, encompassing the entire cultural and historical heritage in the park, thus combining recreation and education.
